May 2, 2018
The Helena Association of Realtors (HAR) is excited to announce Cameron Durckel as its new Executive Director. For the last eight years, Mr. Durckel served as Public Affairs Manager for a major utility on the west coast. Prior to this role, he worked for nearly two decades in governmental relations.
As HAR Executive Director, he will build on the success of the Association’s work of supporting the REALTOR® profession and the Helena community. His responsibilities will include strategic planning, representing the HAR, advocating for the profession, developing continuing education programs, and administering the Helena Multiple Listing Service.
“I look forward to applying my talents to benefit the people of Helena and support Realtors who are a critical element to improving the quality of life in the region and attaining the American Dream,” Durckel said. Durckel earned a Bachelor of Arts from National University and served in the United States Naval Reserve. He has a successful track record in government, public policy, fundraising and event management.
HAR Board President John Rausch said, “we’re absolutely thrilled to find such a well-qualified person to lead our organization. Cameron will be a wonderful asset to the Helena Association of Realtors and to the Helena community. We’re looking forward to his leadership and bridge-building well into the future.”
Durckel will take the helm from Mark Simonich, who recently left the post to serve as Executive Director for the Montana Association of Realtors. Durckel begins employment with the HAR on May 14, 2018.
