REALTOR® of the Year:
Teresa Lightbody of Big Sky Brokers was named Realtor of the Year by the Helena Association of Realtors (HAR) at its annual awards ceremony. Teresa was recognized for her outstanding skill and knowledge. Her motto is “give good service” which she has done for over 39 years. All 85 attendees stood in a standing ovation recognizing her extraordinary commitment to the profession. Teresa has served as President of HAR and the Helena Multiple Listing Service, Director of Montana Association of Realtors, and served the National Association of Realtors. Governor Racicot appointed her to the Board of Housing. She is a Board member of the Friendship Center and Corporate sponsor of Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
REALTOR® Community Involvement:
Karen Goldsberry of Montana Lifestyle Real Estate was recognized for her outstanding service to East Helena. Karen serves on the East Helena School Board and was instrumental in bringing the East Helena High School to fruition. She instigated the East Helena Suicide Prevention Foundation, organized the Rural Firefighters Fund, and is planning the Wounded Warriors Fund Run.
Rex Walsh of Stockman Bank was recognized for his dedicated community service. He is active with the Rotary Club, Ales for Trails, Chamber of Commerce, Elks Lodge, Foundation for Animals, Food Share and HAR’s Spirit of Service project.
HAR Memorial Scholarship:
Jenna Simanton of Berkshire Hathaway was awarded the HAR memorial scholarship. She chairs HAR’s Young Professional Network and is recognized for her excellence and enthusiasm in attracting new realtors to the profession.
